TaxPayer’s Alliance paper insubstantial, out of date and utterly misleading says pharmacy Voice

Pharmacy Voice has responded to a report by the TaxPayer’s Alliance which criticises the amount of money spent on Medicine Use Reviews.

Ian Facer, Chairman of Pharmacy Voice said:

“The Taxpayer’s Alliance paper is insubstantial, out of date and utterly misleading.  MURs are in fact highly valued by patients, because they help people to understand their medicines and get maximum benefit from them.  Community pharmacy is excellent value for money - providing a level of access to healthcare professional advice that is without parallel on the health service frontline.”
