About Pharmacy Voice
The three largest community pharmacy associations have formed Pharmacy Voice to create a stronger, unified voice for their independent & multiple members.
The members of Pharmacy Voice are the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp), the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) and the National Pharmacy Association (NPA).
The immediate work programme will include:
-
Thought leadership-positioning and discussion papers on key strategic issues.
-
Government policy, legislation and regulation – responding to the many consultations such as those related to the public health white paper, working with the All Party Pharmacy Group, influencing the Health and Social Care Bill.
-
Single voice- media work to engage members, the public and stakeholders in activities to demonstrate the power of community pharmacy.
-
Supply chain – branded generics, specials, dispensing errors, distribution.
Its board comprises four nominees from each of the partner organisations. The chair of Pharmacy Voice is Ian Facer, who is a former chair of the NPA, and the CEO is Rob Darracott, CEO of the CCA.
The CCA, AIMp, and the NPA will continue to provide their full range of other support services to their respective members alongside the new organisation.
-
AIMp brings small regionals and multiples together to share best practice, mutual support, and benefit from scale offerings from suppliers.
-
The CCA represents large multiples on LPCs, PSNC, Community Pharmacy Wales and Community Pharmacy Scotland.
-
The NPA represents its independent & multiple members throughout the UK, and protects and supports them with services such as insurance, training, information lines, pharmacy service development and supplies.
